How much does web design cost?

How much does web design cost?

The pricing for a website can vary widely, depending on the specific needs and preferences of the client. At La Palma Web.digital, we do our best to keep prices competitive without compromising on quality. We are dedicated to providing exceptional value for our clients' investment while upholding standards of quality, ensuring that the excellence of the final product is never sacrificed.

When the client provides images, text, posts, pages, or other media that can be imported and used for the WordPress website, it will reduce the overall cost. This is because the time and effort required for content creation and gathering assets are minimized, allowing the focus to be on the design and implementation aspects. We will then optimize the media files to improve the website's performance by reducing loading times and enhancing user experience.

On the other hand, making a website multilingual or implementing an online shop can increase the overall price. This is because these additional features require extra development work and involve the integration of specific plugins and e-commerce solutions, which can add complexity to the project.

Rebuilding it from scratch or adapting and updating the current design?

Rebuilding a website from scratch can often be a better approach than adapting and updating the current design.

Here's why:

1. Database Size

Over time, a website's database can become bloated with unnecessary data, such as old revisions, spam comments, and unused plugin data. This can slow down the website's performance and make it more challenging to manage. Rebuilding the website allows for a clean slate, with the opportunity to optimize the database structure and eliminate unnecessary data.

2. Unwanted Undeleted Code

As websites evolve, outdated code and scripts may accumulate, leading to a cluttered and inefficient codebase. Redoing the website provides the opportunity to start with a clean codebase, ensuring that only necessary and up-to-date code is included.

3. Traces of Old Plugins Left in Database

When plugins are installed and uninstalled on a website, they can leave behind traces of data in the database, even after they have been removed. This can lead to potential conflicts and performance issues. Rebuilding the website allows for a fresh start, ensuring that the database is free from any lingering traces of old plugins.

When we rebuild and redo your website from scratch, we will take a comprehensive approach to ensure that nothing is lost in the process. Firstly, we will carefully copy the content and structure of your old site onto our development server. This will allow us to preserve all your existing posts, pages, and media.

Next, we will set up the new site from scratch, using modern design principles, best practices, and up-to-date tools and plugins. Our goal is to create a website that not only looks great but also functions seamlessly and is easy to manage.

As we import and restructure the old data, we will pay close attention to maintaining the integrity of your content and ensuring a smooth transition to the new site. Throughout this process, we will work closely with you to incorporate any changes and ideas you may have for the new website.

Once the new website is ready, we will provide you with the opportunity to test drive it and provide your feedback. We want to make sure that the new site meets your expectations and fulfills your requirements.

Our aim is to deliver a website that not only meets your current needs but also has the flexibility to grow and evolve with your business.

Conclusion TLDR

Rebuilding a website is often a more cost-effective approach than adapting the existing design. By starting fresh, clean and optimized data will be imported, reducing the need for extensive cleanup. This process is less time-consuming, allowing resources to be allocated towards implementing new features and enhancements rather than navigating through existing problems and errors.

This will result in a more efficient and streamlined development process, ultimately saving time, money and resources now and in the long run.

Do you use templates or even themes ?

Do you use templates or even themes ?

No! Using custom designs for each website ensures that the site is unique and tailored to the specific needs and branding of the client. This approach allows for greater flexibility and creativity in the design process, resulting in a more personalized and visually appealing website.

On the other hand, using templates can have several negative impacts on a website. Firstly, templates often result in a closed design, meaning that the website may look similar to many others using the same template. This lack of uniqueness can diminish the brand identity and make it harder for the website to stand out.

Additionally, templates can present challenges when it comes to updating the website. Since templates are often built with specific structures and coding, making changes or updates to the design can be more difficult and time-consuming. This can limit the ability to adapt the website to changing needs or trends.

Furthermore, using templates can have a negative impact on website speed. Templates may come with bloated code and unnecessary features, which can slow down the loading time of the website. This will result in a poor user experience and negatively impact search engine rankings.

In contrast, a custom design allows for a more streamlined and optimized website, tailored to the specific needs of the client - Resulting in better performance, faster loading times, and a more engaging user experience.
